FreeMergePDF is built and maintained by Yanis L., an independent developer who also runs FreeCompressPDF. You can find me on Quora and X, where I write about browser-based document tools and answer reader questions about PDFs.

Mission

FreeMergePDF helps people merge PDF files quickly without signup, uploads, or watermarks.

How the tool works

PDF processing runs in your browser on your own device, using the open-source pdf.js and pdf-lib libraries. Your files are not uploaded to our servers - the merge happens locally and the finished PDF downloads back to your device.

Why I built it

Most online PDF tools either require an account, queue your files behind an upload, or stamp the result with a watermark. I wanted a simpler alternative for the most common job - combining a few PDFs - that respects your time and your privacy.
